Lillian Borrone is currently the chair of the Eno Transportation Foundation as well as an inaugural member of the Homeland Security Science and Technology Advisory Committee. She is a member of the boards of directors of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey and of STV Group, Inc.. Ms. Borrone retired as the assistant executive director of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey in December 2000. Prior to being named Assistant Executive Director, she served for over 12 years as Director of the Port Commerce Department, overseeing the agency’s marine terminals, waterfront development, and international relations responsibilities. Other positions of responsibility Ms. Borrone held within the Port Authority included Director of Management and Budget, Assistant Director of the Aviation Department, as well as senior management positions in the Rail Transportation and Terminals Departments. Ms. Borrone also served with the U.S. Department of Transportation as Deputy Administrator and as Associate Administrator of the Urban Mass Transportation Administration. Additionally, Ms. Borrone has served the transportation industry as a past Chairman of the American Association of Port Authorities and as a past National President of the Women’s Transportation Seminar. Ms. Borrone is a graduate of Manhattan College, Bronx, New York with a master of science in civil engineering/transportation management. She received her bachelor’s degree in political science from American University. Ms. Borrone was a commissioner on the U.S. Commission on Ocean Policy.
